I was tasked with creating a visual ID for our 2021-2022 Gymnastics season. Early on another design and I met frequently with the team to gather inspiration and direction in how they wanted to be perceived. This was done months leading up to the season. We wanted to use natural assets that they used every day, from the patters from their leotards to the chalk dust. We wanted to accentuate the strong movements in their performances, you can see it in some of the organic shapes we used.
